It isn’t about whether it’s worthwhile, or even if it’s possible. We must do it. Our system needs reform – and that will mean having an open mind, humility, altruism, and placing the teeming masses in front of yourself, and your family.

When we are at a point that every single individual taxpayer is at risk, while the controlling entities prevent the large majority of citizens the ability to create any level of security because of a system that “hoards”….

We have immense problems.

We need to be able to create a dialogue without the chilling effect of emotional manipulation or flawed logic. We need to have a intelligent discourse on how to isolate specific factors that cause larger problems, and implement real change to create real stability and opportunity for everyone on as even a playing field as social order can conjur.

Instead of hate and rage’s apoplectic madness fueling foolhardy and comical political movements, is it not a time to create a philosophical movement that celebrates thoughtful discussion and meaningful exchange of ideas?

I do. I think the only government that will ever be able to effectively distribute a doctrine of equality and democracy is through secular humanism, and until we have a candidate that can lead the country into an era of reason and restrained egoism, we will never be able to solve these problems. If we grasp Voltaire and Locke’s philosophies, without manipulative interpretation or stonewalling from the status quo, we can reorient ourselves with the nature of democracy, citizenship, and government.

It’s an important question. It’s one we never talk about. It’s something that we laugh at while inhaling cheap fast food while watching the Daily Show – always scrambling to take care of the disjointed annoyances of our everydays, we sit idly by and allow the system to collapse around us.

It isn’t impossible… it isn’t even that far of a stretch. It needs rebuilding, but I think it can be done. Do you?
