Happy to watch the myspace bloodletting…

MySpace is dead to me. Or dying. Maybe not to everyone… but it is starting to sicken me. My friends, you will always be my friends… but really… umm…. okay let’s start not start.

I am leaving.

Simple as this.

I am not sure this is the real “music” community I had previously thought.

AND there is something coming down the pike that I am not allowed to comment on…. or talk about… but it is an expanded old/new site that is all about normal people, meeting… for real… to see live music. In communities…. FOR REAL.

I am tired of being a relatively erudite (relatively) single male, that is constantly being portrayed as a predator or a dirty old man at 29, or simply associated with the negativity, falseness, and ubiquitous waste of time this is all seeming to become. MySpace is perjorative as the creepiest place online… and I am starting to feel that vibe, and I refuse to be part of it.

I will keep blogs going… brand new site, but here we are….

My new home. And SOON… a new home for this entire profile and pictures. And old blogs you haven’t seen. Dirty naughty bits littered with some writing which are quite acceptable. Maybe….

It just seems that since this went to Fox (or I started paying attention), there are more creepy old guys, and fake, not really “there” fake sexy girls with fake sites. It is all simply… too much.

I want to meet like minded people. Not slog through a treacherous minefield of half-truths and lies. What happened to the internet as a marketplace of ideas and humanity???

Oh.. wait.. is humanity inherently flawed, internally and externally?

Are we all doomed?

Maybe…. but MF Doom is playing the independent in a week and a half, so that’s good.
