Voltaire’s story about… just a sec….. I will paste it.

Several gentlemen were speaking, in his company, of the avarice with which the late Duke of Marlborough had been charged, some examples whereof being given, the Lord Bolingbroke was appealed to (who, having been in the opposite party, might perhaps, without the imputation of indecency, have been allowed to clear up that matter): “He was so great a man,” replied his lordship, “that I have forgot his vices.” — Letters on England/Letters on the Church/Letters on Government, Voltaire

I used to say I didn’t like Clinton.. he’s a scumbag, he’s ammoral, etc. But I don’t know if that it so much as being brainwashed by my conservative household in High School. That being said, for any faults, I sort of overlook them now. See below comic strip as to why.

Frankly…. by using his philandering as a cover – and letting all the political world talk impeachment because of inconsequential noodling and cigar dipping and stained dresses…. he accomplished more for our country than any president in 50 years. That’s insanity. The veil of personal amorality accomplished more politically than ever before, because without it, everyone would have noticed his plans, actions, etc. I might be wrong that he cheated on his wife, because they obviously have an arrangement (can you imagine living a life where you don’t see your wife.. ever? What’s the point.)

All that being said, I am sick to my stomach with these Republicans… dismantling health care while the public squeals about the economy and jobs? Are they really going to do everything they can to simply destroy the possibility of Obama being re-elected? Simply do whatever they can to counter anything – regardless of logic or reason?

The answer is absolutely, and it even sounds naive asking the question! That’s a problem, that’s a hallmark of a broken system, and it’s seriously depressing.

They aren’t even governing. Their plotting.

We need one president who says, “I know I am a 4 year president, so fuck all of you – I am doing what’s right.”

I am so worried about the future of this country under the current system of leadership. What to do? Help?

Do you run? Do we all run?  Which direction – towards office, or simply “away”?

What do we do? What to do?
